One thing that’s been a little rough to get used living here is the lack of prepared food. Like cake mixes, brownie mixes…even soup. No convenience food for us.

So, I’ve learned I am learning how to do things from scratch.

Like cake.

For Ellie’s first birthday, I made cupcakes. The first batch were a little “eh”. But, the second batch were better.
