birding ::
I have a little problem. I live on a farm 17kms from town. And although life is pretty busy, downtime can sometimes get long. I don’t really like watching movies, and although I don’t mind cooking sometimes, it’s definitely not a hobby.
So, I’ve decided I need a hobby. After much deliberation, I’ve decided on birding.
birding : to observe or identify wild birds in their natural environment
Today, I identified my first bird, a Greater Blue-eared Glossy-starling. AND it was in my backyard. how cool is that! I don’t even have to go far “to bird”.
Confession: I stole this photo off some dudes flickr via google. I took a photo, but it was really blurry. Lame. As I get better, maybe I’ll be able to get closer…

birding, eh? interesting. I wouldn’t have pegged u as a birder, but I think its pretty cool. Do u have a bird book yet???
